I did what anyone person would do, scoured Pinterest. Found a couple different sets of instructions and decided to take a little of this one and a little of that one. The list of supplies included cheap plates---from Target, Americana paint---in Christmas colors, and Sharpies---in varying colors. I also pulled out wet wipes to clean kiddos hands and feet off & some sponges to apply the paint with.
After having the supplies purchased we started pinning ideas that we could each work off of. The boys picked their own, Kaden went with the reindeer and Logan went with the Christmas tree, mainly because he saw how ticklish Kaden was using his feet!
It was a good thing we had some ideas pinned as we aren't the most crafty group--well we are certainly crafty when an idea is right in front of us, I am not so great at coming up with them on my own.
While we took turns applying the paint to the kids' feet, the other kiddos ate some cookies & nibbled on some M&Ms. I think Breck takes home the award for most cookies devoured!
The best part this year, the moms had to do most of the work so we all got to sit and talk and the guys had to manage the kids! Winning---I know.
After the paint was dry, we then placed them into the oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. The end result was totally adorable.
The kids were having so much fun, the adults were having a blast so we just kept the day going. What started as lunch and a Chiefs game quickly became grabbing pizza for dinner and enjoying the weather outside before Sunday night football began.
