On Saturday we had Cousin Colton, Aunt Becky and Uncle Adam over for dinner and before we could even put the dishes in the sink the boys were at the front door ready to play. The raced up and down the hills, Colton winning but only because he went on three instead of go! They kicked the ball back back and forth and then realized how much fun it was to kick it towards the driveway and make us chase it, they had a good laugh. They got to watch a cop pull someone over almost directly in front of our house. Kaden is no stranger to cop cars since Uncle Zack drives one and we have met up with him a couple times but he was still in awe of the lights. And Colton, well he was going to "shoot 'em". It got dark way too quickly but before it was time for everyone to leave, we snuck in some yummy smores and a few hugs and knuckles-blow it up.
On Sunday, we got up bright and early-we were out of the house by 10 and on our way to Deanna Rose. We decided to try something new-one single stroller. Logan would ride and Kaden would walk. I wasn't sure how this would go and just in case I threw in the Baby Bjorn so that if Kaden wasn't minding, in the stroller he went and up to my chest Logan would go. It didn't come to that though. Kaden was entertained once again by the smelly farm animals, the beautiful flowers, the tractors, the clinking of the cowbells and the fences that were just the perfect height for a two year old to climb on. I am not sure where else you can get as much bang for your buck than at Deanna Rose. $4 and we could have stayed all day-well at least until nap time. Hopefully this weather decides to stick around for a little while longer and we are able to enjoy many more weekends just like this.
