A Bit Under the Weather

So the South household has been a bit under the weather this last week and blogging wasn't at the top of my list so I have to play a little catch up from the last week. Good news, Kaden and Justin are certainly on the road to recovery and I am slowly but surely turning the corner. Blasted colds and ever changing KC weather.

First catch-up post: The Hartley Thanksgiving.

Mom and Dad hosted Thanksgiving on Sunday so that we all could be together. It gets tougher and tougher to find a day that works for everyone but we make it happen. Brett, Leah, Blake, Kaden and I had spent the night on Saturday so all we needed were Uncle Zack and Aunt Lindsey, Daddy and then Aunt Jennifer, let the waiting games begin! Daddy finally arrived just a little before noon and Kaden was so excited to see him. He remained Daddy's little boy for the rest of the day. Next up Aunt Lindsey and Uncle Zack, still no Jennifer, and the waiting continues.

Finally, at 2 o'clock we see her driving down the lane! Let the eating begin, oh wait, not too fast, can't forget the blessing and Leah did a superb job with it! Finally we could all eat and Kaden wasn't waiting for everyone to get their food, he was digging in and digging in fast.

After lunch we all settled in for the first part of the Chiefs game. Brett let Kaden wear his necklace that provides "added balance". The scams that are out there! None-the-less, Kaden loved wearing it and didn't want to give it back.

We finished the night off with a win for the Chiefs, loaded up and headed back to KC. Kaden was out by the time we pulled out of the driveway and didn't wake up until we pulled into ours. We had a great time seeing everyone and can't wait to get back for Christmas.

And in case anyone is keeping track, I finally got my pumpkin pie!!

 And yes, the drooling continues!
